Tauranga police say a Tauranga driver experienced a frightening few seconds after her vehicle was knocked in front of a fully-laden logging truck and pushed 40 metres down the road.
The 41 year old Tauranga woman was driving on Maunganui Road towards the Girven Road roundabout just before 9am on Thursday when her vehicle and the logging truck collided, which was travelling in the same direction in the neighbouring lane.

Senior sergeant Ian Campion says the woman was travelling in the left-hand lane towards the Girven Road roundabout and the logging truck was in the right hand lane.
He says the logging truck was changing into the left-hand lane when the two vehicles collided.
The force swung the woman’s vehicle in front of the truck, says Ian.
The truck travelled a further 40 metres with the car stuck to its front guard before coming to a stop on the side of Maunganui Road.
“It would have been extremely frightening for her.”
The woman and the driver of the logging truck were not injured in the collision.
