A crane will be used to salvage a truck that crashed 200 metres down a bank in the Coromandel overnight.
The truck went down a bank at the bottom of the Whangapoua Rd hill sometime before 8.30pm on Tuesday night.
Fairfax reports that emergency services received initial reports that people were trapped in the truck.
Upon arrival to the scene police and Coromandel volunteer firefighters discovered the driver of the truck was out of the vehicle and was subsequently treated by paramedics for minor injuries.
A crane was to be brought in today to retrieve the truck down the bank.
