Mystery surrounds the crash of a Mitsubishi Pajero down the bank at Hairini. The vehicle was being towed away about 4pm, but it’s not known when it went over the bank.

Police have no report on the incident, as available officers were this afternoon dealing with traffic backed up from an accident on SH2 near Youngson Road.

The Pajero left the road on the uphill lanes from the Hairini Causeway heading towards the Maungatapu roundabout. Traffic was reduced to one lane while the Pajero was removed.
