November 7 – Gate Pa Car Boot Market

Come and be part of the first monthly Car Boot Market in Gate Pa. We’re taking some of the stock from our Chirp/Redezine Merivale store and inviting everyone from the community to be part of this monthly buy/sell/swap/free event in Gate Pa, next door to Tauranga Girls’ College. November 18 – Motorsport Park Public Test Day for cars and bikes

Have you got a car or motorbike you’re wanting to test out? Then head down
to Ricoh Taupo Motorsport Park, Taupo, for the Public Test Day. Running from 9.30am to 4pm, the event gives drivers and riders the opportunity to test drive/ride their vehicle in a controlled environment. It cost $125 per vehicle for the first driver/rider, then $50 for the second driver/rider. For more information go to the Ricoh Taupo Motorsport Park website.

December 12 – Baypark Family Speedway Super Stock Car Teams Race

See the mighty Baypark Busters Super Stock Car Team take on the Hawkeyes
from Napier. Also for the first time will be a large field of off-road racing trucks,
cars and buggies taking on the speedway track as well as some jumps on the infield.
Spectator gates open at 5pm with racing starting at 6.30pm. Under five-year-olds have free entry.

February 13 – The Lead Central Kustom Car Show and Swap Meet

So you’re needing that something special for your prized car? Head down to
Turangi for the Lead Central Kustom Car Show and Swap Meet. You never know what special deals you could find. The meet starts at 9am at Te Kapua Park on
Te Rangitautahanga Rd and finishes at 2pm.

This event is primarily a Kustom car show that includes an automotive only swap meet. There is a special section open to Kustom Lead Sleds. These are cars usually of American origin manufactured in the 1940s, ‘50s and ‘60s with bodies modified way beyond the makers original design. There are many other sections open to all types of cars both modified and stock. If you want to display your car and compete for a trophy it will cost you a gold coin donation.

If your car qualifies for the Kustom Lead Sled section then entry is free. The swap meet is automotive themed goods only.
