The last 600 tonnes of asphalt mix required in the reconstruction work of the Fraser Street and 15th Avenue intersection is being laid today.
The works at 15th Avenue and Fraser Street.
This is final third of the total 1800 tonnes of asphalt mix that was required in the works.
NZ Transport Agency projects team manager Kevin Reid expects the intersection will open at some stage during the weekend and that it will be fully functional by Monday morning.
He asks road users to take care at the new intersection as the layout is different. He also wishes to thanks them, as well as nearby residents and business operators for their patience and cooperation during the reconstruction.
