Motorists are advised portable traffic signals will be operating along State Highway 29 near Hastings Rd from Monday night during repairs to a small slip., says the NZ Transport Agency.
Access for local Hastings Rd residents will be available.
The work will be carried out at night only, commencing this Monday night, April 28, at 8pm going through to Friday, May 2, with the work expected to finish each day at 6.30am, says NZTA.
Portable traffic signals will manage vehicles via a single lane operation with a 30km/h speed restriction in place through the work site.
As the works are being undertaken at night to minimise disruption for motorists, minimal delays are expected. However detours are possible via Pyes Pa Rd and State Highway 36 back onto State Highway 29 or along State Highway 2 through the Route K toll road.
The work will be postponed if wet weather is encountered.
The NZTA would like to apologise to motorists for any inconvenience and thanks them for their patience while this important work is being undertaken.
