The New Zealand transport Agency has postponed planned works at the Maungatapu roundabout which were to take place this weekend.
The agency had scheduled large cranes to move high voltage power line crossing the roundabout, but have postponed these due to the possibility of lightning in the region this weekend.

“The agency apologies for any inconvenience caused,” says an NZTA spokesperson.
The high voltage power lines are being moved as part of the Maungatapu underpass project.
