A car and a bus have collided near Baypark Stadium in Mount Maunganui.

Northern Fire Communications shift manager Scott Osmond says the crash occurred near the roundabout of State Highway 2 and SH29A at about 4.30pm.

“It was a car versus a bus, no one was trapped and we have been advised there are possibly three patients to be looked at, but no-one seriously injured.”

Scott was unable to confirm if there were any road blockages as a result of the collision.

Police and fire crews are currently at the scene.
