April 7: Super Stock Rumble and Fredrickson Gold Cup, ASB Stadium, Baypark


If you are into stock car action, this is the night for you. Last season the Super Stock Rumble had 40 super stock cars on the track all at once. The Harry Fredrickson Stock Car Gold Cup includes up to 50 stock cars racing for the coveted Gold Cup. Gates open at 5pm and racing starts at 6.30pm. Also racing are sprint cars, super saloon, mini stocks, and golden oldie stock cars. Come early, walk through the pits, meet the drivers and see the race cars up close. April 28: Closing Night Fireworks Extravaganza,  Baypark Family Speedway, ASB Stadium

The season finale of Baypark Family Speedway will include $20,000 worth of fireworks lighting up the autumn sky on Saturday, April 28. The evening’s racing will include the Stock Car Bay Champs, sprint cars, super saloons, saloons, mini stocks and 6-shooters. Come early, walk through the pits, meet the drivers and see the race cars. April 29: Hamilton Automotive, Vintage, Classic & Collectable Swap Meet, Hamilton

Hamilton Vintage and Classic Car Club and Classics Museum presents the fifth annual Hamilton Swapmeet on Sunday, April 29, from 7am-2pm. The swap meet will feature new and used automotive parts and accessories, automotive memorabilia and collectables and models, books and brochures. $10 sell sites/$30 commercial sites. $5 public entry. May 27: Classic Car Show, Our Place, Tauranga

The Bay of Plenty Vintage Car Club will be holding a Classic Car Show on Sunday, May 27 at Our Place, 9 Willow Street, Tauranga from 10am-2pm as part of the Tauranga  Vintage Festival. Gold coin entry.

The Tauranga Vintage Festival is a two-day celebration of a bygone era, and along with classic cars will include vintage plane flyovers, donkey rides, classic fairground rides, pop-up performances and classic cinema screenings guaranteed to put a smile on the faces of grown-ups and the not-so-grown-ups.
