Truck rides for cancer

Crowds of young children and their families attended the Give a Kid a Ride Day at Baypark on Sunday.
The event was held to raise money for the Child Cancer Tauranga.
For a gold coin donation, children got the opportunity to ride on a variety of different trucks, motorcycles and they even got the chance to be lifted up in a crane cage.

Event organiser Garry Webber says the crowds enjoyed the day.
“It’s really great that the community is getting involved in coming along and there is over 50 trucks today and it’s a good family day out at a cheap price,” says Garry.
Trucks paraded through Tauranga on Saturday in a large convoy in the build-up to Give a Kid a Ride Day.
